Authentic.
Modern.
Effortlessly Romantic.
Amali Studios photographs love stories all over the globe — traveling anywhere and everywhere.
REAL moments, the ones that hit you right in the feelers, that’s what I love to photograph. I’m here to document your love story exactly how you want to remember it. No awkward poses or stiff grins…
just genuine moments, sneaky kisses, the belly laughs, happy tears and all of the magic.
All I ask of you on your wedding day is to be madly in love. That’s all. And I’ll do the rest.
Hiya!
If I ever refer to “we”, I really mean, “I” — I’m a one woman studio. I’m a proud photography geek, turning my life long hobby into my dream job. I’ve been taking photos for as long as I can remember. Film holds a special place in my heart (see a film snap of my family below) and that’s why I shoot hybrid, 35mm film & digital, so you can experience some of the timeless and beautiful art that I love so much.
I’m an enthusiastic, hopeless romantic and positive human; I’m told my energy is infectious and often referred to as a ‘hoot’ (which by the way, makes for great natural laughter in photos)! All I want you to do is have FUN on your wedding day because I want to have fun too capturing that REAL joy!!! That’s where the magic happens. On your wedding day, I’ll be your confidante, your friend and your hype queen!
Here are a few more about me:
I’m a Kiwi, born and raised in New Zealand. A few years ago, I moved to London on a complete whim (without ever having been there). Now, I live in South London with my inquisitive, funny and sweet baby girl, who makes us laugh every single day — motherhood is a dream!
I’m a proud mama to the coolest gal, Leila, who I named my business after as her middle name is ‘Amali’
Paloma and Frozen Margaritas are my drink of choice, although I do love a cold frothy one too and vino verde! Throw a beach and sunset in the mixer, and you’ve got one happy lady
My favourite things in life are ocean swims, hiking in the mountains, road trips abroad, discovering new places and showing my toddler the world through my eyes - we love an adventure especially if it’s abroad!
A harpist by trade, I’ve been playing the harp since I was 7 years old and have played professionally as a soloist, with orchestras and even at a dinner for Prince Edward when he visited Auckland, New Zealand. I love music so much; it’s in my blood. My mama is a harpist too!
